Residents enjoyed a ‘Tea at the Ritz’ afternoon with a posh High Tea in vintage crockery. The kitchen prepared a fabulous selection of cucumber sandwiches, savoury treats, a selection of iced buns and make shift pink champagne (raspberry lemonade).
One resident said, “It reminded me of the days of Lyons Tea Rooms and the Nippys that waited the tables”.
This was a great afternoon experience involving all the residents in the home and was topped off by the staff who made a special effort to dress up to make the afternoon authentic for the residents.
