Life at Cedars Place

Delivering premium nursing, residential, and dementia care in Essex

Cedars Place is a beautiful country mansion originally built in c.1800s. The House has had an interesting and varied history and has been extended in recent years to deliver state of the art accommodation for those requiring nursing and residential care.  Cedars Place also specialises in caring for those living with dementia.

Today, Cedars Place stands in beautiful gardens that are framed by mature cedar trees, from where the home takes its name. Many of the original features of the house and garden have been preserved for the enjoyment of the residents and visitors alike. The care home offers premium long term, convalescent and respite care in a stunning facility.

Cedars Place is located centrally in the historic town of Halstead, Essex.  With a variety of amenities within east walk of the home.

  • Regular days out
  • Community and charity events
  • Various groups
  • Games and puzzles

Daily life at Cedars Place is a mixture of enjoyable social events and peaceful relaxation.

For those residents wishing to keep themselves occupied, our activities coordinators arrange a busy schedule of interesting and varied activities. Our regular events include singing, painting, cards and other board games, movie afternoons, reminiscence and poetry readings, as well as regular live music performances. Importantly, relatives and friends are always encouraged to join in. Residents who do not wish to take part in groups activities are given time on a one to one basis, allowing them enjoyable conversation and providing them with company.

Additionally, larger events are organised on a yearly basis, such as the annual “Stow In Bloom” gardening competition, coffee mornings, and trips to local attractions. Whatever your interest, there is something at Cedars Place for you.
