Magnolia Park Care Home in Ramsey welcomed residents, relatives, local dignitaries and members of the community to celebrate the unveiling of its beautifully refurbished facilities. The team was honoured to have one of the home’s residents cut the ribbon and mark this exciting new chapter.
The refurbishment has focused on the spaces residents use and enjoy every day. Communal areas have been redecorated and refurnished to create comfortable, welcoming places for residents and their families to spend time together, while resident suites have been refurbished throughout. Improvements also include new wet rooms, designed to make washing and bathing easier for residents who require additional mobility support.
Magnolia Park is also in the process of registering to provide nursing care, which will allow the home to offer further support to residents and families across Ramsey and the surrounding area. As part of this development, the home will soon be recruiting nurses who share its commitment to compassionate, high-quality care.
The celebrations began with a welcome from Kay Cox, Chief Executive of Stow Healthcare, followed by a speech from the Mayor of Ramsey, Councillor Val Fendley. Guests were then invited to explore the newly refurbished spaces before joining residents and the Magnolia Park team in the garden for an afternoon of live music, fizz and delicious food.
Following her visit, Councillor Fendley praised Stow Healthcare’s investment in Ramsey and the positive contribution Magnolia Park continues to make within the local community.
She said: “The home is very welcoming if anyone would like to look around, whether that’s looking at options for long-term care or respite.
“They have also created local jobs, and it was nice to see some of the young people I knew from our youth club employed and thriving in their jobs.”
Richard, Vice Chair of Bury Parish Council, also attended the celebration and described it as “inspiring to witness the high standard of facilities now available to the community”.
The event was well attended by current residents and their families, members of the local community, prospective residents and those considering future care options.
Kay Cox, Chief Executive of Stow Healthcare, said: “It was wonderful to welcome so many people to Magnolia Park and share the improvements that have been made throughout the home.
“We were particularly honoured to have one of our residents cut the ribbon and officially unveil the refurbished spaces.
“Magnolia Park is an important part of the Ramsey community, and we are proud to continue investing in the home, creating local employment opportunities and developing the support we can offer to residents and their families.”
