Stow Healthcare triumphed at two national care awards in late autumn, scooping the Care Group of the Year accolade at both the National Care Awards and the Caring UK Awards. Winners of the National Care Awards were presented with their trophies by host Simon Brodkin at the high-profile Gala Night held on Friday, 29th November at the Hilton London Metropole attended by over 650 guests. Only two weeks previously, Stow Healthcare took to the stage at the winter wonderland themed Caring UK Awards in Leicester, after judges had visited their homes to spend time seeing for themselves the standard of care provided.
The judges of the National Care Awards said of Stow Healthcare: “Stow Healthcare Group demonstrated to the Judges how changing cultures in failing homes can transform the lives of residents in services rated Inadequate, to Outstanding. They did this by empowering staff to enable change which is a clear testament to the leadership in this exceptional group.”
The Caring UK judges commented that Stow Healthcare was: “An amazing group, and the future of healthcare. It was a joy to read the submission. Taking over failing homes is one thing; turning them into outstanding homes is a whole different ball game. From top to bottom, this group strives for excellence and achieves it in spades.” Needless to say that we are honoured and delighted by achieving the biggest accolade in care from two different award celebrations, only nine years after having formed our company. There is no doubt this is a true team award and it is all about our staff who, every day, do their best to deliver great care for our residents. Thank you to you all!
