Resident Grace has been one of a number of residents benefitting from the input of two student physios from the University of East Anglia at our home in recent weeks. Grace told us how much progress the students have helped her make, increasing her ability to walk and be indepedent. Grace said of their exercises: “I do my chair exercises in the morning and the afternoon. I lift my knees up three times and move my shoulders backwards and forwards…it make me feel much better. I am feeling a lot more independent…the students have been so kind and helpful and they are very pleased with my progress. I hope to be able to get in a car soon and go out for a meal with my family!

The Comforting Magic of Animals in Dementia Care
At Stow Healthcare, we see every day how meaningful connection, familiar routines and moments of comfort can make a real difference to those living with dementia. One beautiful example of this is the special bond many of our residents share with animals. Across our homes, animals play a much-loved role in daily life.
