Many of you will have been aware that on Monday 11 January 2016 we were inspected by the Care Quality Commission, which is the body that regulates the activities that we provide at Brandon Park.
We are delighted to announce that Brandon Park has been rated as a ‘Good’ home overall. This is a huge achievement for us all and demonstrates the hard work and commitment from each member of staff.
What is very evident from the report and from the comments of the residents and staff who spoke to inspectors on the day is that this is a happy and caring home with a special group of staff who do their very best to make every day as good as it can possibly be for our residents. The lead inspector felt there had been dramatic improvements under the current leadership team and that the home had a lovely feel about it. Fundamentally we now know that all the very hard work that has been put in by every single person at Brandon Park is making a difference to those in our care.
As a staff member said on the day: “Everything about this home is good. Communication is very good. We work well together, we are a good team. Staff get extremely good support. We can discuss any concerns with the managers and they’ll address them.” This is a great compliment to everyone at the home.
We feel this report marks a huge turnaround for the Home and we thank everyone of you who has believed in what we are trying to do and has supported us in every way you can. This is just the beginning and we have lots of exciting times ahead for all our residents at Brandon Park, not to mention those who work at or visit our Home!
