Cedars Place has recently enjoyed a refurbishment, bringing a brighter and more welcoming feel to our much-loved home while preserving the character that makes it so special.
The refurbishments have been thoughtfully designed to respect the heritage of the original building, using Farrow & Ball heritage colours to create a calm and elegant atmosphere throughout. Subtle improvements such as new dado rails, decorative mouldings, and handrails have added detail and charm, while glass fire doors now allow more natural light to flow through the corridors, giving a greater sense of space.
A number of practical refurbishments have also been made to help make daily life easier for residents, visitors, and our team. Additional storage areas help keep communal spaces clear and easy to navigate, and new lighting and flooring have brightened up the home while helping to reduce noise and create a more homely feel. The introduction of scent diffusers throughout the home adds a fresh and comforting atmosphere, and upgraded Wi-Fi ensures better connectivity for residents and families alike.
Our visitor lounge has been refreshed with comfortable seating and a small bistro area, providing a lovely spot for family and friends to enjoy time together. The bathrooms and visitor facilities have also been updated, along with a new medicine room and glass-fronted nurse offices to improve visibility and accessibility.
Finally, the home has been finished with artwork that reflects the history and traditions of Cedars Place, celebrating the people and stories that make our community unique.
These improvements have helped to make Cedars Place feel lighter, brighter, and even more inviting — while ensuring it remains a home full of warmth, comfort, and character.
