Stowlangtoft Hall Nursing Home is celebrating after having seen one of its carers win a national accolade at the Great British Care Awards on 20 May. Roxanne Kenton, a night carer, won her Regional final and then beat off stiff competition from eight other nominees to win The Care Newcomer Award 2016. The Great British Care Awards, now in its seventh year demonstrate the excellent care provision that takes places all over the UK from dedicated staff in both care homes and in people’s own homes. Professor Martin Green, OBE, Chief Executive of Care England, who judged the Care Newcomer Award category said: “Roxane Kenton has all the values, skills and attributes needed to be a first rate care professional. Roxanne’s commitment and passion for care shines through everything she does, and she is a worthy winner of a Great British Care Award. I must also acknowledge the support Roxanne has received from everyone at Stowlangtoft Hall, which is a care home that Suffolk can be proud of.”
