Redecoration underway and biomass boiler installed at Brandon Park

Those visiting the building recently will have seen the scaffolding dominating the north side of the home. We are currently completely redecorating the external walls of the home, which in some places has required extensive work to ensure the render meets our high standards. It will take some weeks for the whole building to be finished, but we know that the finished result will be worth the wait. You will also see new wrought iron railings have been placed on the south terrace of the home in order to provide a safe seating area for residents and visitors.

We are completing further external works to the garden, with the courtyard garden that many rooms look into having seen a facelift and new planting to be carried out here in the autumn. There will be some limited disruption to the main entrance in the early autumn when resurfacing works are completed to create a fully step free entrance, but you will see signage to help you find a safe route into the home for the short period that the main entrance is out of use.

Finally, we have recently installed a biomass boiler at the home to ensure that the heat produced at Brandon Park is sustainable and environmentally friendly.  In our case high density wood pellets, which offer a carbon neutral heat source.

All these works will continue to improve the home for our residents and everyone who visits or works in the building. Thank you for your continued understanding.
