Meet Michael Parris, Home Manager at Horkesley Manor

We are delighted to introduce Michael Parris, Home Manager at Horkesley Manor.

Michael brings more than 25 years of experience in the health and social care sector and has dedicated his career to delivering high-quality care. Throughout his time in care, he has remained passionate about supporting residents to live with dignity, independence and wellbeing, while ensuring they feel valued, respected and truly at home.

Michael is a Registered Nurse, having qualified in 2007, and also holds a Level 5 qualification in Leadership for Health and Social Care. His strong clinical knowledge, combined with his leadership experience, enables him to support both residents and colleagues in creating a safe, caring and welcoming environment.

As Home Manager, Michael is committed to maintaining the highest standards of care across the home. He believes that excellent care is built on strong relationships, compassionate leadership and a genuine understanding of each individual’s needs, preferences and life experiences.

Michael takes great pride in leading a dedicated team who share his commitment to enriching the lives of residents in Horkesley Manor. He enjoys building positive relationships with residents, families, colleagues and the wider local community, helping to create a warm and supportive atmosphere where everyone can thrive.

One of the most important parts of Michael’s role is ensuring residents feel listened to and supported every day. By getting to know each person as an individual, Michael and the team are able to provide care that is not only professional and responsive, but also personal and meaningful.

Outside of work, Michael enjoys reading, watching sports and following Ipswich Town Football Club. These interests help him maintain a healthy work-life balance and bring the same enthusiasm, focus and dedication to his role as Home Manager each day.

Michael is proud to be leading the team at Horkesley Manor and looks forward to continuing to support residents, families and colleagues while helping the home remain a warm, welcoming and happy place to live.
