Christmas fair raises over £600!

On the 7th December, Halstead Hall welcomed visitors for it’s second annual Christmas Bazaar. This year saw an increased number of stalls thanks to the number of local volunteers and support groups. A special thank you to the WI who had been busy making cakes for us and ran the refreshments stall on the day.

As santa was busy with his preparations at the north pole, resident Derek was quick to stand in and hand out the presents to the visiting children. Children visited Santa Derek in his magical Christmas grotto and passed on their Christmas wish list ready for the festive season. Derek made sure these were sent straight to the north pole for the big man himself in time for Christmas!

The event raised over £600 for the resident activity fund which will pay for events and trips out this year. A huge thank you to all of the volunteers who gave up their time to support the event and also to everyone who donated prizes to the raffle, some of which were were expertly wrapped and presented. Plans are already in place for this year’s event which will take place in the Autumn, we will keep you updated!
