We are thrilled to announce that as a company, Stow Healthcare has been named Care Employer of the Year at the inaugural Caring UK awards held in York in December. This is Stow Healthcare’s 1st company award and an achievement which we are hugely proud of. These awards also saw the Management Team at sister home Brandon Park, named Management Team of the Year.
Ford Place has had its own awards success with Head Chef, Marion Thorpe beating off the competition at the East of England Care awards to make it to the Great British Care Awards Final in the Care Home Chef Category. The finals will take place in Birmingham on the 16th March. We wish Marion the best of luck in the final.
We are also hugely proud of our finalist Nurses, Rose Miranda who made it to the regional finals in the ‘Good Nurse’ category at the East of England Awards and Silvia Nunes who made it to the final 5 in the country at the National Care award in ‘Nurse of the year’ category. Although they didn’t win, to secure a finalist place in competitive categories is a fantastic achievement- Well done!
Finally, we would like to commend the whole team at Ford Place for their fantastic end of life care, which has been highly commended at this year’s Norfolk Care awards. To be awarded one of three finalist places in the ‘End of life Care’ category is a massive achievement and a reflection of the fantastic care and compassion shown by the team to residents and families in their last days of their life. Keep up the amazing work everyone.
