Lovely first Christmas Fair at Halstead Hall

On the 24th November, Halstead Hall opened its doors for its very first Christmas Fair with stalls ranging from handmade crafts and jewellery to homemade cakes and jams; it really was a day for all the family to enjoy together.

The highlight of the day was a visit from one of Santa’s special representatives, resident Derek Neal who stood in for Santa as he was busy with preparations at the North Pole. Children visited Derek in the home’s Christmas grotto and shared their Christmas wish list ready for the festive season. Derek made sure these were sent straight to the north pole in time for Christmas!

The event raised over £600 for the resident activity fund which will pay for events and trips out in 2019. We would like to thank all of the volunteers who gave up their time to support the Christmas Fair. Plans are already in place for next year’s event which will take place in November 2019.
