Spring has well and truly sprung and the warmer weather and the longer days means there is lots to look forward to in the coming months. We kick started the new year with a number of musical performances, including the ‘Rock Against Dementia’ Concert as part of a national event to increase people’s awareness of dementia. We have also created strong links with community groups including the Walsham-le-Willows craft group who now join our ladies on a regular basis for the knit and natter session. We enjoyed lots of Easter activities over the bank holiday weekend with a visit from the Easter Bunny who left and Easter treat for our residents- and staff!

The Comforting Magic of Animals in Dementia Care
At Stow Healthcare, we see every day how meaningful connection, familiar routines and moments of comfort can make a real difference to those living with dementia. One beautiful example of this is the special bond many of our residents share with animals. Across our homes, animals play a much-loved role in daily life.
