Stow Healthcare has announced a new partnership with ICIS UK to further strengthen dementia care, specialist training and clinical support across its homes, beginning with Brandon Park Care Home.
The partnership will see ICIS deliver a bespoke dementia care training programme for colleagues at Brandon Park from June through December 2026, alongside the introduction of additional clinical support services from September.
Led by Anthony Bainbridge, ICIS specialises in psychologically informed care, clinical consultancy and therapeutic support services. Anthony has worked within psychology, clinical practice and specialist training since the late 1990s and has extensive experience supporting health and social care providers.
The new dementia training programme will provide staff with an incremental pathway of learning, beginning with dementia awareness and progressing through areas including responsive behaviours, daily living support and palliative care. The programme is designed to be tailored specifically to the needs of Brandon Park and its residents.
As part of the initial rollout, ICIS clinicians will visit the home to assess the environment, understand the day-to-day experiences of staff and residents, and help shape a bespoke approach to training and support.
From September, Brandon Park will also benefit from dedicated ongoing clinical input from the ICIS team, with a specialist clinician allocated to the home on a regular basis. Support may include occupational therapy guidance, psychology-led support, consultation work and direct face-to-face intervention depending on residents’ individual needs.
