Horkesley Manor Welcomes the Community for a Wonderful Open Day

Horkesley Manor was delighted to welcome residents, relatives, friends and members of the local community to its recent open day, offering visitors the chance to see the home, meet the team and enjoy a relaxed afternoon together.

The event was a wonderful opportunity to showcase the warm, welcoming atmosphere at Horkesley Manor, as well as the recently refurbished spaces that have helped make the home feel even more comfortable and inviting. Guests were able to explore the home, spend time in the beautifully refreshed communal areas, and get a real sense of daily life at Horkesley Manor.

Visitors were also able to enjoy the home’s refreshed gardens, which provided a lovely setting for people to take in the outdoor spaces available to residents. These areas are an important part of life at Horkesley Manor, offering peaceful places to relax, enjoy fresh air and spend time with loved ones.

Throughout the day, visitors enjoyed chatting with residents and staff, learning more about the care and support provided at the home, and seeing first-hand the strong sense of community that makes Horkesley Manor so special.

The team were especially proud to share the home’s refurbished bistro, coffee lounge, foyer, lounges and conservatory, all of which have been designed to create relaxing, sociable spaces for residents and their loved ones to enjoy. These areas have already become much-loved parts of the home, supporting everything from quiet moments with a cup of tea to lively activities and family visits.

Open days are an important chance for families to experience the atmosphere of a care home for themselves. At Horkesley Manor, the team were pleased to spend time answering questions, offering tours and talking to visitors about the importance of compassionate, person-centred care.

The day finished with a special wine tasting session led by sommelier Stephen Chamberlain, giving everyone the chance to relax, socialise and enjoy something a little different together. It was a lovely way to round off the open day.

The day was a great success, with plenty of smiles, conversations and opportunities to celebrate the home’s ongoing improvements.

Horkesley Manor would like to thank everyone who attended and helped make the open day such a positive occasion. The team look forward to welcoming more visitors in the future and continuing to build strong connections with the local community.

If you would like to see the refurbishment for yourself, the home offers daily tours, please speak to our admissions team on 03332419707.
