We are proud to share the start of a positive new chapter in Halstead, as our Cedars Place becomes Weavers Grange, a name thoughtfully chosen with the support of our residents.
Alongside new ownership, this exciting change follows an extensive refurbishment and a renewed focus on resident wellbeing while continuing the same exceptional quality of care. Most importantly, the new name was chosen by residents themselves, reflecting our commitment to keeping them at the heart of everything we do.
“Our focus has been on creating a home where residents feel valued. Seeing residents involved in the naming process has been incredibly positive and reflects the culture we are building.”
Kay Cox, Chief Executive Officer of Stow Healthcare
The name reflects Halstead’s historic links to the weaving and textile industries, while “Grange” evokes a sense of home, stability and belonging, values that residents felt strongly represented their home.
While the name has changed, the home continues to provide the same high-quality residential and nursing care, delivered by a dedicated and experienced team. Residents benefit from a varied programme of activities, refurbished communal spaces and an environment designed to promote comfort and independence.
“This has been about far more than a new name. Listening to our residents and involving them in decisions about their home is central to how we provide care. Weavers Grange truly reflects the community within these walls.”
Hazel Dockrell, Home Manager at Weavers Grange
The new name takes effect immediately, with updated signage now in place. Read more about Weavers Grange and the exceptional care provided or visit our Facebook page to see the daily goings on in the home.
