Safe Visiting in our homes

The safety of your loved ones is our top priority.

Stow Healthcare is delighted to be welcoming visitors into our homes in accordance with the latest government guidance. We recognise the huge benefits visitors bring to the lives of our residents

General guidance around safe visiting in our homes:

  • Residents in our homes have the right to see their loved ones, and we will facilitate this as much, and as safely as we can. Physical contact is permitted and encouraged.
  • Residents may choose to have visits where they feel most comfortable.
  • Appointments and time restrictions are not necessary.
  • There is no limit on the number of people who may visit normally. Homes may advise on numbers who can visit safely at any one time, considering where the visit will take place.
  • Homes may have to modify regular visiting procedures in the event of an outbreak. This will be communicated to relatives via our email distribution list as well as notifications to visitors on arrival to the home.
  • The latest version of our visiting policy is available to view at our homes during your visit.

When not to visit the care home:

  • Visitors should not visit if they feel unwell, have suffered vomiting or diarrhoea in the last 48 hours or have symptoms of respiratory illness including COVID 19. A variety of illnesses can cause harm to our residents.

Any questions around visiting our home may be referred to the home manager, or to the company directors by emailing enquiries@stowhealthcare.co.uk or calling us on 01359 300470.
